Locations: Cape Breton Island.

Time span: Thursday through Friday evening.

Maximum day time temperatures: 29 to 30 degrees Celsius (Humidex 34 to 37).

Minimum nighttime temperatures: near 17 degrees Celsius.

Remarks: A hot and humid airmass will move into the region Thursday and persist through Friday evening. Cooler conditions are expected near the coast. Heat conditions will improve by Saturday.

Heat warnings are issued when very high temperature or humidity conditions are expected to pose an elevated risk of heat illnesses, such as heat stroke or heat exhaustion.
