A low pressure system impacting southeastern Saskatchewan and southwestern Manitoba will bring accumulating rainfall to the region beginning in Saskatchewan on Friday morning, and ending in Manitoba on Saturday.
This rainfall will broadly accumulate a storm total of 20 to 40 mm of rain for areas affected. However, there will be a risk of locally higher amounts exceeding 60 mm with some thunderstorms embedded in the low pressure system itself. It is expected that these thunderstorms will be isolated in nature and the associated impacts will be isolated as well.
The situation will be monitored closely as it develops and this statement may be upgraded to a rainfall warning if necessary.
