Prolonged, heavy rainfall is expected.
Locations: Prince Edward Island.
Potential rainfall amounts: 30 to 40 mm, with locally higher amounts possible.
Time span: early Sunday morning until Monday afternoon.
Remarks: A developing weather system is expected to bring a prolonged period of rainfall to much of the island. In addition, localized rain bands and thundershowers could linger over some areas, leading to higher amounts. Rainfall rates of 15 mm per hour are possible.
Water pooling on roads may make travel more difficult in some areas. Localized flooding may occur in low-lying areas.
