Yellow Warning - Severe Thunderstorm

At 5:13 p.m. PDT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm capable of producing damaging wind gusts, up to quarter size hail and heavy rain.

This severe thunderstorm is located about 20 km southeast of Keremeos and is moving northeast at 30 km/h.

Communities in its path include Oliver, Inkaneep Park, Vaseux Lake Park, sxwexwnitkw Park

Heavy rain may cause flash flooding and significant reductions to visibility.

Weather in the mountains can change suddenly resulting in hazardous driving conditions.

Severe thunderstorm warnings are issued when imminent or occurring thunderstorms are expected to produce damaging hail, wind or rain.
