Yellow Warning - Severe Thunderstorm

At 7:51 p.m. CDT, a line of severe thunderstorms is located from about Sundown to 15 km east of Ste. Rita then to Libau. These severe thunderstorms are moving east at 40 km/h. Damaging wind gusts, loonie to ping pong ball size hail and very heavy rain are possible.

Locations and nearby areas that could be impacted include: Woodridge, Brokenhead Reserve, Elma, Whitemouth, Hadashville, Vassar, Pinawa, East Braintree, Rennie, Sprague

Heavy rain may cause flash flooding and significant reductions to visibility. Fast-moving and rapidly rising water can sweep vehicles away and damage infrastructure. Large hail may cause significant damage and injury.

Severe thunderstorm warnings are issued when imminent or occurring thunderstorms are expected to produce damaging hail, wind or rain.

Severe thunderstorms can produce tornadoes.
