Yellow Warning - Severe Thunderstorm

At 6:40 p.m. ADT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm capable of producing strong wind gusts and heavy rain.

Thunderstorm Location: near Blue Mountain Bend

Motion: Moving slowly to the south

Hazards: Pea to dime sized hail. Strong wind gusts up to 90 km/h. Heavy rainfall rates of 30 to 50 mm per hour.

Locations in the Path: Blue Mountain Bend, Two Brooks, Oxbow, Sisson Brook, Plaster Rock, Tobique Valley.

Heavy rain may cause flash flooding and significant reductions to visibility.

Severe thunderstorm warnings are issued when imminent or occurring thunderstorms are expected to produce damaging hail, wind or rain.
