Damaging winds are expected.
What: Northerly winds 70 km/h gusting to 90.
When: Beginning late this evening and easing Sunday morning.
Where: Southern sections of Howe Sound including Bowen Island.
Remarks: The combination of a low tracking southward west of Vancouver Island and a ridge of high pressure over the B.C. interior will create strong outflow winds through Howe Sound. Northerly winds 70 km/h gusting to 90 will develop late this evening over southern sections. The winds will ease on Sunday morning as the low weakens. However, the winds will remain blustery into the afternoon.
