Red Warning - Severe Thunderstorm

At 5:25 p.m. EDT, a line of extremely dangerous thunderstorms is located from Linwood to New Hamburg then to St. Marys. These extremely dangerous thunderstorms are moving quickly to the east at 100 km/h. Destructive wind gusts, loonie to ping pong ball size hail and heavy rain are possible.

Locations and nearby areas that could be impacted include: Kitchener, Hamilton, Mississauga

Driving conditions will be difficult. Buildings and/or many trees will be destroyed. Large hail will cause significant damage and injury. There is a risk of life-threatening injury.

Severe thunderstorm warnings are issued when imminent or occurring thunderstorms are expected to produce damaging hail, wind or rain.

Severe thunderstorms can produce tornadoes.
