Locations: western and central mainland Nova Scotia.

Time span: persisting through Sunday

Minimum temperatures tonight: near 19 degrees Celsius. Maximum temperature Sunday: 27 to 30 degrees Celsius (Humidex near 35 to 38).

Remarks: A hot and humid air mass will continue to bring a period of high daytime temperatures and elevated Humidex values. Nighttime lows are also forecast to stay warm, providing little to no relief.

Heat warnings are issued when very high temperature or humidity conditions are expected to pose an elevated risk of heat illnesses, such as heat stroke or heat exhaustion.
