Remarks: An area of showers and thunderstorms is moving across southeastern Newfoundland. The public can expect frequent showers and scattered thunderstorms giving brief periods of very heavy rain.
Local rainfall totals could range between 30 and 50 mm by midnight, with locally higher amounts in severe thunderstorms.
