Heavy rain is expected.

Locations: Southwestern, western and central Newfoundland.

Total rainfall: 50 to 70 mm, except potentially more than 80 mm locally in areas of heaviest rain.

Time span: Tuesday night until Thursday morning.

Remarks: Rainfall rates of up to 10 mm per hour may occur over some locations, especially Wednesday afternoon and overnight.

Water will likely pool on roads and in low-lying areas. Visibility will likely be suddenly reduced at times.

Rainfall warnings are issued when significant impacts are expected due to rainfall amounts.
