Very heavy rain is expected.

100-120 mm of rain expected over northern sections of West Vancouver Island.

Where: West Vancouver Island.

When: This morning to Sunday morning.

Remarks: Another Pacific frontal system will bring heavy rain to West Vancouver Island beginning this morning. 100 to 120 mm of rain is expected mainly for communities between Zeballos and Tahsis. 70 to 100 mm of rain can be expected elsewhere in the region. The heavy rain will ease Sunday morning.

Water will likely pool on roads and in low-lying areas. Landslides may occur in vulnerable areas such as steep slopes, deforested areas or recent burn scars.
