Yellow Watch - Severe Thunderstorm

Conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms that may be capable of producing strong wind gusts and heavy rain.

What: Winds gusting up to 90 kilometers per hour. Up to 50 millimeters of rain locally.

When: This afternoon and early this evening.

Nautical activities may be hazardous due to sudden, severe wind gusts over bodies of water.

Local utility outages are possible. Damage to roofs, fences, branches or soft shelters is possible.

Severe thunderstorm watches are issued when conditions are favourable for the development of thunderstorms capable of producing damaging hail, wind or rain.
