Orange Watch - Tornado

Conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms which may produce tornadoes. Strong winds, large hail and heavy rain are also possible.

What: Risk of tornadoes. Wind gusts up to 100 km/h. Toonie to ping pong ball sized hail. Heavy rainfall with local amounts up to 50 mm.

When: Beginning this evening, and ending near midnight.

Additional information: Thunderstorms capable of producing damaging winds, large hail and tornadoes are possible, with the greatest threat most likely for areas closer to the international border. There is also a risk of heavy rainfall accumulations for areas that receive several thunderstorms.
