Yellow Warning - Severe Thunderstorm

At 2:35 p.m. PDT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm capable of producing damaging wind gusts, up to quarter size hail and heavy rain.

The severe thunderstorm is located 20 km south of Highway 16, near St Marie Lake and is heading northeast at 25 km/h.

Locations that will be affected include: - St Marie Lake - Opatcho Lake - Highway 16 to the east of Prince George

Weather in the mountains can change suddenly resulting in hazardous driving conditions.

Severe thunderstorm warnings are issued when imminent or occurring thunderstorms are expected to produce damaging hail, wind or rain.
