Details

Potential for significant rainfall.
Locations: Yarmouth, Shelburne and Queens Counties
Potential rainfall: 50 mm or more.
Time span: Thursday morning.
Remarks: An approaching low pressure system is expected to bring potentially significant rainfall. A moisture-laden tropical air mass may contribute to enhanced rainfall amounts particularly early Thursday morning. There is some uncertainty as to whether the highest rainfall amounts will fall offshore or farther inland, but the potential exists for significant totals over some locations along the Atlantic Coast.
Clear storm drains and gutters of leaves and other debris in advance of the rainfall.
