Special Weather Statement In Effect

Significant rainfall is expected.

Locations: Connaigre and Burin Peninsula.

Potential rainfall: 30 to 50 mm, with locally higher amounts possible.

Time span: Tuesday afternoon until Tuesday night.

Remarks: A developing weather system is expected to bring a period of significant rainfall. A moisture-laden tropical air mass will contribute to enhanced rainfall. There is some uncertainty as to where the highest rainfall amounts will occur, but the potential exists for significant totals over some locations.

Water pooling on roads may make travel difficult in some locations. Localized flooding may occur in low-lying areas.
