Details

The first snowfall of the season is expected for much of Alberta, and may affect holiday travel.
Snowfall has begun in Western Alberta and will gradually progress south and eastward through central Alberta today.
By the end of the day today, snow will accumulate over much of Central and Northern Alberta. Snowfall amounts will be highly variable. Snowfall warnings have been issued where amounts are expected to have more significant impacts.
Confidence is low that snowfall accumulations will occur in Calgary and areas to its east, but more significant snowfall may occur against the Southern Alberta foothills as well as areas along the US border including the Cypress Hills. Prepare for changing and deteriorating travel conditions.
