Yellow Warning - Severe Thunderstorm

At 7:42 p.m. MDT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm capable of producing damaging wind gusts, loonie to ping pong ball size hail and heavy rain.

This severe thunderstorm is located near Vulcan and is moving towards the east at 40 km/h.

Storm spotters reported up to quarter size hail west Vulcan at 7:15 p.m.

Heavy rain may cause flash flooding and significant reductions to visibility.

Severe thunderstorms can produce tornadoes.

Severe thunderstorm warnings are issued when imminent or occurring thunderstorms are expected to produce damaging hail, wind or rain.
