Conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms that may be capable of producing strong wind gusts, large hail and heavy rain.
Potential rainfall rates: locally 30 mm per hour in thunderstorms.
Potential wind gusts: near 90 km/h in thunderstorms.
Potential hail: 1 to 2 cm.
Time span: until later this evening.
Remarks: Thunderstorms, with potential to become severe, have developed ahead of and along a cold front. There still remains a slight risk of a tornado.
Be sure to watch for changing skies as storms can intensify quickly.
