Yellow Warning - Severe Thunderstorm

At 5:25 p.m. EDT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm capable of producing up to quarter size hail and very heavy rain.

An area of severe thunderstorms was located near Ottawa and Gatineau, and are nearly stationary.

Hazards: - Heavy rainfall up to 50 mm - Quarter size hail

Heavy rain may cause flash flooding and significant reductions to visibility.

Severe thunderstorm warnings are issued when imminent or occurring thunderstorms are expected to produce damaging hail, wind or rain.
