At 5:29 p.m. EDT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm that is possibly producing a tornado. Damaging winds, large hail and locally intense rainfall are also possible.
Possible Tornado Location: Over Fitzroy Harbour
Motion: Moving east at 40 km/h
Other Hazards: Wind: damaging (90 - 110 km/h) Hail: loonie to ping pong ball size (2.5 to 4.5 cm) Rain: heavy (15 - 50 mm)
