Heavy rain is expected.

Locations: Corner Brook and vicinity and Gros Morne.

Total rainfall: 30 to 50 mm, except locally up to 70 mm in areas of heaviest rain.

Time span: early this evening until Tuesday afternoon.

Remarks: Rainfall rates of 10 to 15 mm per hour may occur over some locations. Thunderstorms may develop over some areas, producing locally heavier rainfall.

Water will likely pool on roads and in low-lying areas.

Rainfall warnings are issued when significant impacts are expected due to rainfall amounts.
