Yellow Warning - Severe Thunderstorm

At 2:21 p.m. MDT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm capable of producing strong wind gusts, up to quarter size hail and very heavy rain.

This severe thunderstorm is located over west of Calgary and is moving towards the city at 25 km/h.

Driving conditions will likely be difficult. Heavy rain may cause flash flooding and significant reductions to visibility.

Severe thunderstorm warnings are issued when imminent or occurring thunderstorms are expected to produce damaging hail, wind or rain.
