A low pressure system tracking south across the province today could produce thunderstorms with potentially damaging winds late this afternoon and this evening.

Damage to roofs, fences, branches or soft shelters is possible.

Severe thunderstorm watches are issued when conditions are favourable for the development of thunderstorms capable of producing damaging hail, wind or rain.
