At 11:37 a.m. EDT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm capable of producing up to quarter size hail and very heavy rain.

Thunderstorm Location: Over Nipigon

Motion: Moving southeast at 50 km/h

Hazards: Wind: strong (up to 80 km/h)

Hail: up to quarter size (up to 2.5 cm)

Rain: very heavy (50 - 100 mm)

Locations in the Path: Nipigon Ruby Lake Provincial Park Red Rock Rossport

Heavy rain may cause flash flooding and significant reductions to visibility. Large hail may cause significant damage and injury.
