Yellow Watch - Severe Thunderstorm

Conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms that may be capable of producing heavy rain.

A cluster of thunderstorms moving in from Quebec will continue into northwestern New Brunswick this evening.

It is possible that local amounts could exceed 25 mm in the heaviest areas of rain.

Local utility outages are possible.

Heavy rain can cause flash flooding and significant reductions to visibility. Severe thunderstorm watches are issued when conditions are favourable for the development of thunderstorms capable of producing damaging hail, wind or rain.
