Tornado Watch In Effect

Conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms which may produce tornadoes. Strong winds, large hail and heavy rain are also possible.

A line of severe thunderstorms over Michigan will move across the lake late this afternoon and this evening. This line has a history of producing tornadoes.

Significant damage or destruction to infrastructure, homes and the natural environment is possible.

Tornado watches are issued when conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms capable of producing tornadoes.
