Conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms that may be capable of producing strong wind gusts.

Locations: western and central Nova Scotia.

Potential rainfall rates: locally 10 to 20 mm per hour in thunderstorms.

Potential wind gusts: near 90 km/h in thunderstorms.

Time span: until later this evening.

Remarks: A line of thunderstorms is moving east-southeast at 70k/h across Grand Manan and towards Digby.
