Significant rain expected through early this afternoon.
What: Local total rainfall amounts of 75 to 150 mm.
When: Continuing into this afternoon.
Additional information: Radar estimates and personal weather station data suggest near 100 to 120 mm of rain has already fallen in a few areas mainly north of Sudbury.
Given the slow movement of showers and thunderstorms and the multiple rounds of precipitation, significant rainfall is expected today.
Note that rainfall amounts will be highly variable across the region and not all areas will receive this much rain.
Additional showers are expected through this afternoon and gradually tapering by tonight.
