Yellow Warning - Severe Thunderstorm

At 5:43 p.m. MDT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a cluster of severe thunderstorms capable of producing damaging wind gusts, loonie to ping pong ball size hail and heavy rain.

These severe thunderstorms are located 25 km northeast of Peerless Lake and 40 km north of Peerless Lake, and are travelling towards the northeast at approximately 35 km/h.

Heavy rain may cause flash flooding and significant reductions to visibility. Large hail may cause significant damage and injury.

Severe thunderstorms can produce tornadoes.

Severe thunderstorm warnings are issued when imminent or occurring thunderstorms are expected to produce damaging hail, wind or rain.
