Yellow Warning - Severe Thunderstorm

At 5:01 p.m. MST, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm capable of producing damaging wind gusts, up to quarter size hail and heavy rain.

A severe thunderstorm is located near Highway 97 east of Summit Lake and is moving to the northeast at 40 km/h.

Highway 97 will be affected.

Driving conditions will likely be difficult.

Weather in the mountains can change suddenly resulting in hazardous driving conditions.

Severe thunderstorm warnings are issued when imminent or occurring thunderstorms are expected to produce damaging hail, wind or rain.
