Yellow Warning - Storm Surge

Storm surge is expected Friday morning to Friday evening in Tuktoyaktuk.

The highest water levels are expected to reach 80 to 90 cm above highest astronomical tide on Friday afternoon and may cause moderate flooding. These conditions can cause damage to infrastructure near the coast, including boats beached or anchored along the shoreline.

This warning is issued when high water levels pose a threat to coastal regions due to tides, storm surge and/or waves.
