Red Warning - Severe Thunderstorm

At 5:57 p.m. EDT, a line of extremely dangerous thunderstorms is located from Guelph to Dundas then to Burford. These extremely dangerous thunderstorms are moving quickly to the east at 100 km/h. Destructive wind gusts, loonie to ping pong ball size hail and heavy rain are possible.

Locations and nearby areas that could be impacted include: Woodside National Historic Site of Canada, Kitchener, New Dundee, West Montrose, Winterbourne, Bloomingdale, Doon, Roseville, Chicopee Hills Conservation Area, Breslau

Driving conditions will be difficult. Buildings and/or many trees will be destroyed. Large hail will cause significant damage and injury. There is a risk of life-threatening injury. Prolonged or widespread utility outages are expected.

Severe thunderstorm warnings are issued when imminent or occurring thunderstorms are expected to produce damaging hail, wind or rain.

Severe thunderstorms can produce tornadoes.
