Orange Warning - Severe Thunderstorm

At 7:43 p.m. MDT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a line of dangerous thunderstorms capable of producing damaging wind gusts, up to quarter size hail and very heavy rain.

This line of severe thunderstorms is located from Ponoka to Red Earth Creek and is moving east at 70 km/h.

Travel delays and/or cancellations are likely. Driving conditions will likely be difficult. Utility outages are likely. Heavy rain will likely cause flash flooding and significant reductions to visibility.

Severe thunderstorms can produce tornadoes.
