Special Weather Statement In Effect

Prolonged, heavy rainfall is expected.

Locations: southern New Brunswick.

Potential rainfall amounts: 30 to 50 mm, with locally higher amounts possible.

Time span: later tonight to near noon Monday.

Remarks: A developing weather system is expected to bring a prolonged period of rainfall to much of southern New Brunswick Rainfall rates of 15 mm per hour are possible. In addition, localized rain bands could linger over some areas, leading to higher amounts. Thundershowers may develop which could result in locally higher rainfall amounts.

Water pooling on roads may make travel more difficult in some areas. Localized flooding may occur in low-lying areas.
