Conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms that may be capable of producing strong wind gusts and heavy rain.
Potential rainfall rates: locally 25 to 50 mm per hour in thunderstorms.
Potential wind gusts: up to 90 km/h in thunderstorms.
Potential hail size: dime.
Time span: until late this evening.
Remarks: Thunderstorms have developed over southeastern New Brunswick, and are expected to continue into northern Nova Scotia late this afternoon and evening.
