Yellow Warning - Severe Thunderstorm

At 5:09 p.m. MDT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a cluster of severe thunderstorms capable of producing damaging wind gusts, loonie to ping pong ball size hail and heavy rain.

This cluster of severe thunderstorms is located from near Whitecourt to near Edson and is moving very slowly.

Heavy rain may cause flash flooding and significant reductions to visibility.

Severe thunderstorms can produce tornadoes. Severe thunderstorm warnings are issued when imminent or occurring thunderstorms are expected to produce damaging hail, wind or rain.
