Yellow Warning - Severe Thunderstorm

At 1:08 p.m. ADT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm capable of producing strong wind gusts and heavy rain.

A cluster of severe thunderstorms was located south of Bathurst moving southeast at 40 km/h.

Locations impacted include: South Tetagouche, Bathurst Mines, Big River, Rough Waters, Nepisiguit Junction.

Hazards: - 90 km/h wind gusts. - Dime sized hail. - Heavy rainfall.

Heavy rain may cause flash flooding and significant reductions to visibility.

Severe thunderstorm warnings are issued when imminent or occurring thunderstorms are expected to produce damaging hail, wind or rain.
