Yellow Warning - Storm Surge

This warning is in effect for parts of the coast due to the following hazard(s): - Higher than normal water levels

Storm surge is expected between Sunday, September 27 and Wednesday, September 30, 2026 at Herschel Island and may cause moderate flooding.

Water levels are expected to reach 20 to 25 centimeters above highest astronomical tide between 1 and 7 AM PDT tonight and early Sunday morning.

High water levels will return again for each successive high tide until Wednesday morning.

These conditions may cause damage to infrastructure near the coast, including boats beached or anchored along the shoreline.

This warning is issued when high water levels pose a threat to coastal regions due to tides, storm surge and/or waves.
