Prolonged, heavy rainfall is expected.
Locations: most of mainland Nova Scotia.
Potential rainfall amounts: 50 to 100 mm.
Time span: early Sunday morning through late Monday.
Remarks: A developing weather system is expected to bring a prolonged period of rainfall to much of the province. Rainfall rates of 15 mm per hour are possible. In addition, localised rain bands could linger over some areas, leading to higher amounts.
Water pooling on roads may make travel more difficult in some areas. Localized flooding may occur in low-lying areas.
