Freezing rain is expected over portions of the Trans-Labrador Highway.
Locations: Kenamu River to Red Bay (inland and over higher terrain).
Time span: late Sunday afternoon through Sunday evening.
Remarks: Precipitation is expected to fall as rain in coastal areas, while colder temperatures inland and over higher elevations will support a period of freezing rain. Over parts of the Eagle River region, the freezing rain may be preceded by a period of ice pellets.
Freezing rain could persist for several hours in some locations, resulting in ice accretion and slippery surfaces. Consider adjusting travel plans to avoid the most adverse conditions.
