Yellow Warning - Severe Thunderstorm

At 11:25 p.m. EDT, a line of severe thunderstorms is located from about 20 km east of Long Point Provincial Park to Highgate then to 20 km southwest of Walpole Island. These severe thunderstorms are moving east at 40 km/h. Strong wind gusts, up to quarter size hail and very heavy rain are possible.

Locations and nearby areas that could be impacted include: Wallaceburg, Chatham, Dresden, Chatham-Kent, Thamesville, Ridgetown, Bothwell, West Lorne, Dutton, Port Stanley

Driving conditions will likely be difficult. Heavy rain may cause flash flooding and significant reductions to visibility. Large hail may cause significant damage and injury. Damage to roofs, fences, soft shelters or trees is likely.

Severe thunderstorm warnings are issued when imminent or occurring thunderstorms are expected to produce damaging hail, wind or rain.
