Orange Warning - Severe Thunderstorm

At 5:34 p.m. EDT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm capable of producing damaging wind gusts and heavy rain.

Thunderstorm Location: Oakville to St. Thomas

Motion: Moving quickly to the southeast at 80 km/h

Hazards: Wind: damaging (Up to 100 km/h) The strongest winds are expected ahead of the line of thunderstorms. Rain: heavy (Up to 30 mm)

Locations in the Path: From Oakville to St. Thomas including Woodstock, Brantford, Hamilton, Simcoe, St. Catharines, Welland and Niagara Falls.

Utility outages are likely. Significant damage to buildings and/or trees is likely. There is a risk of serious injury.
