Orange Warning - Rainfall

Heavy rain this weekend will bring total amounts of 40 to 70 mm.

A broad area of rain has developed over Central Alberta. The rain will continue through the weekend with the heaviest rain falling during the day today.

Some areas may see more rain continuing into next week, but confidence is low at this time.

With the ground already saturated from the storm this past weekend and rainfall totals for the month of June well above normal, additional rain is likely to cause overland flooding, washouts, and impacts to infrastructure and property.

Localized flooding is likely. Some roads may become impassable.
