Yellow Warning - Severe Thunderstorm

At 2:56 p.m. EDT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a line of severe thunderstorms capable of producing strong wind gusts and very heavy rain.

Thunderstorm Location: Over Pefferlaw.

Motion: Moving east at 35 km/h.

Hazards: Up to 90 km/h winds. Locally heavy rainfall with up to 80 mm possible.

Local utility outages are likely. Damage to roofs, fences, soft shelters or trees is likely. Heavy rain may cause flash flooding and significant reductions to visibility. Fast-moving and rapidly rising water can sweep vehicles away and damage infrastructure.

Severe thunderstorm warnings are issued when imminent or occurring thunderstorms are expected to produce damaging hail, wind or rain.
