Yellow Warning - Severe Thunderstorm

At 12:44 p.m. PDT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm capable of producing damaging wind gusts, up to quarter size hail and heavy rain.

The severe thunderstorm is located 20 km southwest of Fort Fraser and is moving 20km/h to the north.

The following communities will be affected: -Fort Fraser -Fraser Lake -Highway 16

Driving conditions will likely be difficult.

Weather in the mountains can change suddenly resulting in hazardous driving conditions.

Severe thunderstorm warnings are issued when imminent or occurring thunderstorms are expected to produce damaging hail, wind or rain.
