Yellow Warning - Storm Surge

Storm surge is expected late this afternoon and this evening in Tuktoyaktuk.

The highest water levels are expected to reach up to 95 cm above highest astronomical tide this evening and will cause moderate flooding.

These conditions can cause damage to infrastructure near the coast, including boats beached or anchored along the shoreline.

This warning is issued when high water levels pose a threat to coastal regions due to tides, storm surge and/or waves.
