Humidex values reaching 34 are expected for the next 4 days.

A long duration heat event begins Wednesday.

What: Maximum temperatures of 31 to 35 degrees Celsius Minimum temperatures of 21 to 25 degrees Celsius.

When: Begins Wednesday and continuing into the weekend.

Additional Information: The hottest days are expected to be Wednesday and Thursday, with maximum temperatures up to 35 degrees Celsius expected. Minimum temperatures of 21 to 25 degrees Celsius will provide little relief from the heat.

Hot and humid air can also bring deteriorating air quality and can result in the Air Quality Health Index approaching the high-risk category.

Heat warnings are issued when very high temperature or humidity conditions are expected to pose an elevated risk of heat illnesses, such as heat stroke or heat exhaustion.
