Yellow Warning - Severe Thunderstorm

At 5:00 p.m. MDT (5:00 p.m. CST), Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a line of severe thunderstorms capable of producing damaging wind gusts, up to quarter size hail and very heavy rain.

This line of severe thunderstorms is located from 15 km south of Waseca to 25 km northwest of St. Cyr Lake.

Locations in the Path: Meadow Lake, Mervin, Green Lake, Edam, Paynton, Glaslyn

Heavy rain may cause flash flooding and significant reductions to visibility. Large hail may cause significant damage and injury.

Severe thunderstorms can produce tornadoes. Severe thunderstorm warnings are issued when imminent or occurring thunderstorms are expected to produce damaging hail, wind or rain.
